Wessex Subject Headings

All Wessex MeSH subject headings can now be found on a searchable thesaurus.

Subheadings and document types are available in separate listings.

This list of non-MeSH headings has been created to cater for UK-specific requirements that are not covered by the normal MeSH subject headings.

Please note that all these have been coded as a 650 subject heading with the second indicator of 4 (denoting other source of information) rather than a 2 (denoting agreed upon MeSH headings).

If one of these headings isn’t available when you search for it on V-smart, please email the service desk with the subject line “SWIMS cataloguing – non-MeSH term missing from catalogue”.
